About scrub-dub®
The loofah had it coming.
Ryan and Alicia Payne spent years in healthcare before they built Scrub-Dub®. They knew what clean looked like. They also knew the average loofah wasn’t it. Bacteria builds up in loofah mesh quickly after first use. Nothing effective existed that was also built to last and made from a recyclable material. So they built one themselves.
Our Frustration
Two healthcare professionals who got annoyed enough to build something.
Ryan served in Air Force Pararescue. Alicia worked in nursing. Between them, they’d seen what happens when hygiene breaks down in high-stakes situations. They’d both come home to the same bacteria-harboring loofah everyone else uses. Loofahs are known to harbor bacteria. Silicone scrubbers couldn’t be recycled. Nothing on the market solved both problems, so they built something that did.
The Solution
A better body scrub that's recyclable
Scrub-Dub® is made in the USA from zinc-based antimicrobial TPE, not silicone. That choice was deliberate: silicone isn’t truly recyclable, and TPE is. The scrubber is dual-sided for scalp and body use, dries fast between showers, and won’t harbor the buildup that makes loofahs a hygiene liability. Veteran-owned, manufactured in Miami, FL, and operated from Vail, Arizona.
Our Vision
Built to last. Designed not to end up in a landfill.
Most scrubbers get thrown out every few weeks. The mesh frays, the loofah degrades, and it all goes straight to the landfill. Scrub-Dub® holds up through daily use and is recyclable at end of life. That was a non-negotiable from day one.
